Why I Switched to Flodesk From Mailchimp & Convertkit

Table of Contents

I get it. You want the best email marketing service so that you can communicate with your audience with ease, all while knowing that you are paying a fair price for the services you are getting.

You also want to monetize your list and know that your emails will be delivered exactly when you want them to be delivered.

You also don’t want to pay EXTRA just because you are successfully growing your list. It’s like being penalized for scaling and becoming more successful. That sounds so dumb, but so true for many service providers.

If it wasn’t clear by now; that’s why I switched.

I was using Mailchimp since day one (when I launched this blog) and didn’t have any complaints. My list was steadily growing thanks to my organic marketing strategies and the process of writing and scheduling emails was very easy.

However, I started to get concerned because I was on the free plan that only allowed me to create about 5 segments (which decreased to 1 segment after

an update they did) and you should know by now that list segmentation is CRUCIAL. No two subscribers are alike.

Also, since my list kept growing, I was concerned about having to switch to their paid plan starting at $9 which sounds good BUT only gives you 3 audiences.

If you’re like me, you have at least 5 audiences because you know and understand their needs, interests, and level of awareness.

It is clear that I was very conflicted. Although I could afford Mailchimp’s fee, I was not okay with having to pay extra just because I was growing my list and STILL be limited when it came to the number of audiences and features I had access to.

So, I decided to look into Convertkit which only had a free trial during that time. Now it has a free plan but is also VERY limited.

The problem I found with Convertkit was that the free trial was going to expire eventually, and I had to pay even more money whenever my list grew by a few thousands. Again, I felt that I was being penalized for getting more successful, and I didn’t even need the extra features that I would have been paying for.

Long story short, I would have been paying for extra features that I didn’t need.

So, I finally did some digging and found Flodesk.

Flodesk is the ONLY email marketing service provider I found that charges a FLAT FEE per month no matter how much your list grows.

Flodesk costs $38 per month BUT if you sign up via an affiliate link like I did, you get it for $19 per month. Forever. Just $19. Always. You can get that lifetime deal by using my link.

Not only that, but it also has the most beautiful templates that you can use over and over again (at no extra fee) to literally hook your audience in and get them ENGAGED inside every email you send out.

You can also create an unlimited number of segments AND color-code them.

You can create as many landing pages as you want. You can build as many automated workflows as you want, and you can GROW as fast as you can without having to worry about paying more each month.

The part that I fell in love with (aside from their beautiful templates) was with their analytics. They give you exactly what you need to see so that you can learn about your audience. See the photo below!

Inside Flodesk, EVERYTHING can be customized, and they are constantly rolling out new features to help you grow, scale and automate your business without overwhelm.

They are amazing and exactly what my business needed, so I happily signed up!

I took advantage of their 30-day free trial. I imported my lists from Mailchimp and Convertkit, I segmented my lists by surveying them and looking at the freebie they signed up for.

I created multiple workflows by watching and following their tutorials, created and published my landing pages, scheduled emails using their beautiful and converting templates. The best part about this is that everything felt in alignment with my business and what I stand for.

When the free trial was up, I stayed.

Now I use Flodesk for everything and if I ever need to connect it to another service, I can easily do so with Zapier.

I KNOW that you can benefit greatly from Flodesk and your business (and bank account) will thank you for it.

If you know that this is exactly what you’ve been missing, sign up for a FREE 30-day trial using my link. When you stay with them after the trial, you’ll only pay $19 per month forever, and I’ll get a small commission.

I am NEVER turning back.
