7 Reasons Why I Joined eXp Realty & NOT Another Brokerage

Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links and if you go through them to make a purchase I will earn a commission. Keep in mind that I only share about companies that I truly believe in.

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I am a Realtor® in the state of New Jersey.

I made this career upgrade after

falling in love with real estate and knowing the value I can bring into buyers and sellers lives.

I’ve also been in marketing and advertising for over 5 years (I lost track!) so being able to reach sellers and buyers is easy and feels natural.

Now, there are A LOT of brokerages and out of all of them I chose eXp Realty.

Why?

80/20 Commission Split

I work hard for my money and so do you, so we have to make sure that we can keep as much as we can of it.

I looked into other brokerages and the most I saw was a 70/30 split, so choosing eXp was a no-brainer when it came to the commission split.

This means that I get to keep 80% of my commission until I cap at 16,000. Then I keep 100% of it until the following year!

Publicly Traded Stock (EXPI)

I love investing. You know what I also love? Being given free stocks for doing what I should be doing anyway: selling homes and capping.

I still haven’t found another brokerage that gives its agents company stock, or a brokerage that is also a publicly-traded stock. In fact, if you are familiar with the stock market at all, you know how hard it is for a company to get in there!

This stock is one of the many financial opportunities this company offers me to retire, knowing that I have money working for me while I work for it.

UPDATED Trainings with REAL Experts

For you to be able to host or teach a class to agents, you MUST have a consistent track record of selling at high volumes.

These trainings are done live every single day so that our agents are learning from experts who implement what they teach and also throw outdated tactics out of the door.

As a new (or seasoned) agent, you need updated training to stay on top of changes and stay plugged in.

My point is that if you want to learn how to close more transactions and adapt to current changes (which are inevitable), you must learn from agents who are actively selling and adapting.

No Wasting Time or Money in a Physical Location

According to Business Insider, the average person spends up to $5,000 annually in transportation.

According to Washington Post, the average person spends about 225 hours per year commuting, or 9 days.

What if you had an extra $5,000 in savings and 225 extra hours? What would you do? I know what I would do; I would GET MORE LEADS.

Because eXp Realty is a cloud-based brokerage, all of our meetings and trainings are held virtually so we don’t waste time driving to a physical office, getting stuck in traffic, or wasting time that we could be using to get more leads and network.

This also means no desk fees!

Revenue Share

Whenever you bring someone into eXp as an agent, meaning you sponsor them, and they close on their transactions YOU GET PAID until they cap.

You don’t get a cut from their commission (they’ll always keep their 80%); you get paid by the company.

You also get company stock.

Why?

Because eXp saves so much money from not having physical branches that they are able to use that money to support their agents since they realize that the cost of living increases every year and we all have mouths to feed.

They take advantage of technological innovations to make being a Realtor® easier, more affordable, and get more money out of it.

Healthcare (yes, really)

eXp gives its agents access to affordable health care, saving its agents thousands of dollars every year!

What could you do with a few extra hundreds or thousands? Invest in paid marketing? Buy yourself a new car? Make a down payment? Pay the medical bills that you might have?

Facebook Workplace

We also get our own Facebook Workplace that allows us to collaborate.

This is important because we are constantly referring clients to each other, holding open houses for other agents when they ask, and answering each other’s questions.

We help each other and this helps us grow together.
